AAADM Swing/Slide/Fold Certification

Welcome to our AAADM Certification class, a comprehensive two-day training program designed for door technicians who want to enhance their skills and knowledge in the safe use of automatic doors. Unlike our quick start series, this standalone class delves deep into the intricacies of automatic doors, equipping you with a thorough understanding of their operation.

Throughout the course, we prioritize your education on the industry standards that govern automatic doors: ANSI A156.10, A156.19, and A156.38. Our experienced instructors will guide you through practical demonstrations and engaging hands-on exercises to ensure that you grasp the concepts and techniques effectively.

To be eligible to attend class AAADM requires the following criteria be met.

“AAADM defines “primary business” as follows:

  • A distributor of automatic pedestrian door products, not only hardware, for an AAADM Active Member Company, and / or
  • A company that derives over 50% of its business from the sale, installation, and/or service of full power automatic pedestrian door products that comply with ANSI / BHMA A156.10.”

As a prerequisite to taking the AAADM Certified Inspector training program, a candidate must be an individual who has,

  • Worked in the automatic pedestrian door industry for 6 months immediately preceding the application for an AAADM training course, worked in the automatic pedestrian door industry for at least 90 days immediately preceding the application for an AAADM training course, and has taken the factory training course of an AAADM member.
  • An individual who has worked in the automatic pedestrian door industry is one who is directly employed by a company in the industry that sells, services, or installs automatic pedestrian doors as its primary business.
  • Individuals directly employed by end users, including but not limited to the following, are not eligible to be certified: facility maintenance for retail, healthcare, hospitality, education, government, and building owners.

If you meet the requirements above, please proceed in filling out the registration form below. Once the registration form is complete it will be submitted to the AAADM Office for approval. If approval is obtained we will then provide you with the AAADM application and a link to pay the AAADM Inspector Certification Course fee.
